This Saturday 8th of Feb 'Street by Street' Design Workshops With Sustrans/ A6 Parklet/Walking Bus Update!

Saturday 8th of February - Our Co-Design 'FILTERED NEIGHBOURHOOD' Workshops with Sustrans and MCC

We're making good progress now and had a smashing time at last weeks co-design events at Levenshulme Inspire. Over 100 people attended and helped the project delivery team work on the 'cell' approach to our filtered neighbourhood area.

What Will We Be Doing On Saturday?

We now have a series of cells (smaller areas inside this map) to work on 'STREET BY STREET'

So, we'll be getting to work this Saturday  with Sustrans (hopefully with you there!) to develop the changes within the breakdown areas in more detail...ready for Summer 2020 trials.OMG!!!

SESSION PLAN FOR SATURDAY ------------------------------------------------------------* Explanation of the key principals in creating a design.* Groups to use mini-modal filter images to create a plan to filter each cell* Show the cell map* Suggestions for where fancy filters/simple would go* Looking at quick wins and crossings* Identifying where crossings and continuous walk ways should go.* Mapping potential “quick wins” in the area to improve.* Cell-level findings on access issues and crossings

The A6 Parklet - Get Your Comments In - Final Week for Design Feedback

- -----------------------------------------------------------There have been plenty of detailed comments over the past fortnight on the first draft outcome of the co-design on our first ( of many we hope!) parklets for Levenshulme.

Overwhelmingly positive and constructive feedback which is proving really useful to feed into the final design. We'll do a summary with the feedback and share with the designers and yourselves as we progress things further...You have a week to get your ideas/issues in and we can start getting this trial trialled.
